About Us

No-GamStop is an independent publisher. It is run by a small team — one editor and a handful of contributors — working from the Czech Republic and writing in English for readers in the United Kingdom. We are not a casino, we are not a gambling operator, and we hold no licence to offer betting of any kind. What we do is collect and compare publicly available information about casinos that sit outside the UK Gambling Commission’s self-exclusion scheme.

That is a narrow brief, and we keep it narrow on purpose. The further a site sits from UK regulation, the more the reader has to work out alone — and the harder it is to find anything written about it that is not an advertisement.

What this site is not

We are not a casino and we do not accept bets. No page on this site can open an account, take a deposit or hold money for you. Every casino we write about is a separate business, licensed by its own regulator and solely responsible for how it treats you. Nothing here is an offer to gamble.

Why this site exists

GamStop covers every operator holding a UK Gambling Commission licence. It does not cover the many casinos licensed in Curaçao, Anjouan and elsewhere, because those operators never joined the scheme. That leaves a genuine information gap: a UK player looking at an offshore casino will find pages of marketing, but very little that simply states the licence, the company behind the brand, the full bonus terms and the withdrawal rules in one place.

The gap is usually filled badly. Much of what ranks for these searches is written by sites that claim to have tested casinos they have never opened, deposited at or contacted. We cannot verify that claim for anyone else, but we can refuse to make it ourselves. Everything we publish is either quoted from a document the operator publishes, taken from a public register, or clearly labelled as our own judgement.

What we do and don’t do

We would rather be dull and accurate than interesting and wrong, so here is the honest version of our working method.

What we do

  • Read the published terms and conditions of each casino, including the bonus rules, the withdrawal policy and the small print most summaries skip.
  • Check licence records and company registers where they are public, and say when we cannot confirm something.
  • Compare sites on the same criteria, in the same order, so the tables can actually be compared.
  • Report when sources disagree — for example when a wagering requirement is stated as 35× in one place and 30× in another. We say so rather than picking the better number.
  • Publish the criteria we use, so you can judge the judgement rather than take it on trust.

What we don’t do

  • We do not gamble on the sites we write about. We do not deposit, open accounts or play in order to produce a review. If a page of ours ever sounds like a first-hand account of playing, that is a mistake and we would want it pointed out.
  • We do not run a casino, take bets or hold player funds. We have no access to any player account and no ability to influence a withdrawal.
  • We do not sell ratings. No operator can pay for a score, a position in a table or a favourable verdict, and none has ever been offered one.
  • We do not promise anything about outcomes. We cannot tell you whether a casino will pay you, how long it will take, or whether you will win. Nobody can.
  • We do not give legal, tax or financial advice. Where we describe how something generally works, it is general information and not advice for your situation.

How we make money

This site is free to read and carries no subscription and no advertising banners. It is funded by affiliate commission: when a reader follows one of our links to a casino and signs up, that operator may pay us a fee. It costs you nothing, and it does not change the price of anything you buy.

We think the only honest way to run a site like this is to explain the arrangement in full rather than bury it in a footer. The affiliate disclosure sets out exactly how the links work, which casinos have an agreement with us and which do not, and what commission does and does not affect.

Editorial independence

Commission creates an obvious tension, and we would rather name it than pretend it does not exist. The casinos that pay us are the ones we would like you to visit. The way we handle that is not by claiming to be immune to it, but by making the rating process public and mechanical: the methodology is published, the criteria are fixed in advance, and the same six of them are applied to every site whether or not there is a commercial relationship.

In practice this means we sometimes publish an assessment that is less flattering than a partner would like, and we sometimes list a casino we earn nothing from above one we do. The ratings follow the published criteria; the criteria do not follow the commission. If you think a particular rating is wrong, the methodology gives you something concrete to disagree with — which is exactly the point.

How to report an error

Bonus terms, payout times and licence details change constantly, and we will sometimes be out of date or simply wrong. If you spot a mistake, email [email protected] with the page address and what you believe is incorrect. Where we can verify the correction, we make it and update the page date. Where we cannot verify it, we will tell you that instead of quietly changing the text to match.

General questions about the site, the content or working with us are best sent to the same address — see the contact page for what we can and cannot help with.
